my reaction to Serving in Silence

What is your reaction to this true story? Do you believe that she should have kept her secret or told it to everyone? Explain your response why.

...Oh it wasn't towards the movie?.....sh!t.

      As you can see, the question up there is what I'm supposed to answer. The protagonist is....Margarethe....something. She was a cadet....maybe....I don't remember; she was in a military rank. For X or Y reason she told her secret and made it public, that she was a lesbian; and, of course, in the army, homosexuals were not accepted.

       That's the gist of it. I don't really need to say any more. Now, my reaction to this story is that it was bound to happen anyways. Also, it did happen, so why should I care now that it's over? Don't get me wrong, im not homophobic, I just sincerely don't care atnthe moment....too busy with my life.

       Should she have or not, told her secret to everyone......that was her decision. She could've stayed with her career, and her benefits from the beginning, but then again, at the beginning she did not know about the new rule against homosexuals. Yes, she could've back down, but if she did, nothing would've changed. So, should she.....didn't seem that good of an idea. Shouldn't she....well...I see no reason why not to. 

        I want to make myself clear here. I dislike following society's rules in general, and I detest those that are illogical, unreasonable and stupid. I also hate it when people do things irrationally. So, if you ask me why I say that it was her decision, it's because I find both sides filled with stupidity and no reason at all as to why she shouldn't be accepted in society after all she's done to serve for it.

Ps. I liked the movie a little. I disliked the questions given to me though. For example: "She is a mother of 4 boys so how can she be lesbian? Is it her choice?" If you're asking if she chose to have 4 kids.....then.....HellHell yes it was her decision! Unless she was ever raped, but we don't know that! She had 4!....Now, if you're asking if she chose to be a lesbian.....the hell do I know! You can't go against what your body feels, unless you're a badass that puts his mind over matter.......Stupid ass questions that can't even express themselves completely! Have a nice day!
